DOSONLIRI: “IENA” è il nuovo video

Iena” è il nuovo singolo dei Dosonliri: la band laziale ci svela, con un sound rock e diretto, che cosa si nasconde dietro al ghigno di questo animale, ingiustamente sottovalutato.  

Iena” nasce quando, su un riff ossessivo, è stata aggiunta la frase “puoi chiamarmi Iena”. Intorno alla figura e all’immaginario di questo animale si costruisce la canzone: la Iena è l’archetipo del predatore disprezzato da tutti, non ha la regalità del leone, l’eleganza della pantera o la fierezza e il coraggio del lupo, la iena è un po’ come le persone invisibili: facciamo finta che non esistano anche quando cercano con ogni mezzo di arrivare a fine giornata.  

La iena è un animale costretto a vivere di notte, vittima di stupide superstizioni, obbligata a rifugiarsi nel proprio piccolo branco. La iena è ricordata per il suo perenne sorriso, quel sorriso falso dietro cui ci siamo nascosti e protetti tutti noi chissà quante volte.  

La canzone è stata registrata nel Loops Recording Studio, la produzione è stata messa nelle sapienti mani di Luca Alfiero, mix engineer e figura istituzionale nella scena punk e rock alternative pontina e laziale.  

Il videoclip è stato ideato, prodotto e realizzato da Marco Malasorte, batterista della band. Grande appassionato di cinema, specialmente quello di genere horror, Marco, spinto dalla voglia di ricreare alcune delle scene e delle inquadrature presenti nei suoi film preferiti, nel tempo si è focalizzato sulla realizzazione dei videoclip. 

L’intento principale è quello di espandere l’immaginario visivo della band attraverso oggetti e dettagli più o meno nascosti e tramite sequenze che vadano a connettersi con la musica.  

In questo video va sottolineata la presenza di Arianna Bonardi, che ha svolto un ruolo centrale nella storia che la band voleva raccontare. Arianna Bonardi è un’attrice e performer romana di adozione pontina. Si muove tra teatro, video e web, con un lavoro che unisce interpretazione, ironia e attenzione alle tematiche sociali.  

Sul web è nota per i suoi personaggi che uniscono cabaret all’intrattenimento social, oltre a una carriera come performer e modella. Lavora attivamente nel cinema in ruoli eterogenei che spaziano dal drammatico al grottesco ed la fondatrice del progetto Musical “Back2Boradway”, oltre a essere una grande amica e supporter dei Dosonliri

Iena è probabilmente il pezzo più veloce crudo e diretto che abbiamo mai composto, è il dazio da pagare al nostro retaggio punk, Iena è il nostro grido di battaglia, sovversivi ma col sorriso. Il testo recita “non darmi mai la schiena”, ma prima o poi lo farai: volevamo una canzone che puoi canticchiare sotto la doccia per poi colpirti con la lama della crudezza esistenziale, con il tappeto di una distorsione sporca e tagliente come le questioni espresse tra i versi” 

Chi sono i Dosonliri 

Dosonliri nascono nel novembre del 2019: Marco, Davide ed Alessandro si trovano davanti a una birra in un noto pub di Latina e lì decidono che formare una band alternative/indie rock sia più economico (falso) e divertente che andare dallo psicologo. 

Tra strane figure disneyiane e amici immaginari provenienti dalla paleontologia, i Dosonliri provano a guardare in faccia le proprie paure da eterni adolescenti in un mondo che va troppo veloce e a volte faticano a riconoscere. 

Il nome è un riferimento al protagonista della famosa serie TV Dawson Creek, mentre il logo – in cui per la prima volta compare un Triceratopo, il loro animale guida – è un omaggio al film Jurassic Park.  

Ed è proprio dagli anni ‘90 che i Dosonliri prendono le loro influenze musicali e immaginarie: dall’alternative italiano di Afterhours, Marlene Kuntz, Verdena, Prozac+ senza trascurare le influenze della scena internazionale con Placebo, Smashing Pumpkins.  

L’affiatamento tra i tre si traduce in una proficua creatività, grazie alla quale, in poche prove, musica e testi originali prendono lo spazio delle cover. Grazie a ciò l’isolamento da coronavirus non li ferma, anzi fa da incubatore ai nuovi pezzi che vengono sviluppati e arrangiati inviandosi file audio a distanza.  

Queste idee vengono raffinate al momento della riapertura che porta alle prime incisioni: a dicembre 2022 esce il primo singolo “Credimi sono un bugiardo”, mentre a marzo 2023 esce l’EP “I Dinosauri sono Mainstream“, presentato con ottimi riscontri live nella provincia. 

È proprio in questo periodo che Alessandro si trasferisce in Perù per motivi familiari. Al suo posto arriva Giacomo, con cui a marzo dello scorso anno esce “Melancholia“, canzone arricchita dal feat. con Effe Bi e liberamente ispirata all’ omonimo film di Lars Von Trier. 

Il singolo e il relativo videoclip ricevono un riscontro positivo, mentre i Dosonliri continuano ad allargare i propri orizzonti seminando la loro energia live nei vari locali della provincia di Latina e della regione laziale.
